Hello Reader,

This is the perfect time of year to contemplate the beauty of your true nature by bearing witness to the wisdom of the natural world.

The light and the warmth bring an abundance of outdoor opportunities and activities.

However, sometimes the most important thing to "do" is no-thing...

Which can simply be sitting in active stillness and receiving the wonder and wisdom that's right in front of you.

Nature can tell us a lot about ourselves and there's powerful magic in her metaphors.

Do you take time to pause quietly and observe the wisdom of the natural world?

It requires a softening of your outer, and inner, gaze.

It requires you to give your Rational Intelligence the afternoon off.

It requires your presence and a willingness to wonder.

That's when the wild world can reveal to your thinking self what your Deep Inner Wisdom already knows to be true.

I encourage you to give yourself permission to let go of any attachment to getting it right.

Because, there's no one way to interpret the messages.

You get to allow the one that's just right for you at this moment to be the one that catches your attention.

I love looking to Nature to show me the deeper wisdom in all areas of my life.

And so, it was no surprise to me when images began to flit through my mind showing me a way to more deeply experience and explain the nature of the four Human Design Types.

There were so many choices...

So many rich metaphors...

I needed only to come heart to heart with the richness of the imagery that each one offered.

Because understanding the four types in Human Design is the first step...

The foundation upon which all other awareness rests.

And without it, you'll find yourself on some rickety stairs.

Having a deep relationship to your Type is also key to clearing out your inner clutter and restoring yourself to wholeness.

So, it's essential to feel the energy of it in your body.

And Nature is absolutely great for creating embodied experiences.

So, contemplate these winged messengers and let yourself sink deeply into the embodied truths they reveal.

In the Human Design system, there are four Types:

• Manifestor
• Generator
• Projector
• Reflector

These relate to specific areas of definition in your design. They're also a way of understanding how you receive and engage with the world. Each one has its own unique energy field and signature. Your Type determines the correct Strategy for you. Following it is the first step in living more fully as your true self.

Dragonflies have the amazing ability to move in whatever direction they choose at any time. Up, down, forwards, and even backwards. This can be a way of understanding the Manifestor’s ability to initiate in whatever direction their Authority points them. They're not here to be influenced or controlled by others because they're designed to make their unique impact. And, when they inform all those who will be impacted before initiating, they can experience their signature, Peace.

The busy bee spends its ever-flowing energy in doing work that it loves in building the hive. This core is where it derives its energy and sense of purpose. This is a way of relating to the Generator experience of allowing the Sacral Life force to provide all the energy needed. They're here to do work they love and to love the work they do. Their Authority may be Emotional or Sacral and makes it possible for them to attain their signature, Satisfaction.

The butterfly is here to pollinate in a way that at first glance seems similar to the bee. However, the pollination they create is the result of their quest for energy and to fulfill their purpose. Their captivating designs draw our attention to the beauty of the landscape around us. Projectors aren't here to build anything but instead are here to be recognized and correctly invited to advise and guide the rest of us in recognizing the beauty of inner landscapes. As they do, they enjoy their signature, Success.

And finally, our Reflector, who like the moth is most correctly guided by the moon. When a moth follows an artificial light, it becomes disoriented and flies in ways that prevent it from living out its life and purpose. In the same way, Reflectors may be tempted and disoriented by the false light of the world’s expectations. By learning to follow the moon and reflect its light, they live out their destiny and delight in their signature, Surprise.

This is the beginning of the journey to truly loving yourself...

As you ARE...

Not as the world said you "should" be...

As you contemplate the winged messenger that is the mirror for your Type, notice any resistance you feel to your story about it.

That resistance is the beginning of the map that will bring you home to yourself...

So you can love yourself.
